Lemon tea cakes

In this hospitality lesson, we made lemon tea cakes. This was a great thing to make for the first day back at school! I made the base in the food processor, while my partner made the lemon filling. We put the base down, poured the lemon over it, and broke up the remaining base mixture and placed it on top. We then put it in the oven to cook. This recipe was delicious.I can't wait to have some more and give it to my family!

Lemon Cheesecake

In this hospitality, we made lemon cheesecake. I wasn't really excited to make this dish, however, I knew that my mum and dad likes cheesecake, so I wanted to make it special for them. We crumbed the scotch biscuits in the food processor and once that was done, we placed the lemon juice, cream cheese and condensed milk together. I wanted a bit of an edge to my cheesecake, so I pushed some of the crumbs up onto the edge to make a different type of base. We put the cheesecake in the fridge abd left it there until Thursday. Once it was done, we decorated it with strawberries, blueberries and kiwi fruit, as well as freshly whipped cream. I hope mum and dad enjoy this cheesecake.

Tangy Lemon Slice

In our hospitality lesson, we made tangy lemon slices. It was quite simple to make. We first had to mix ingredients together to make the base of the tart, and then we placed it in the oven. Once we took it out, we covered it with the syrup, and placed it under the oven again. When it was cooked we took it out to cool down. My partner and I tried a bit of the lemon slice, we thought it tasted a bit like apple pie. Once we put some icing sugar on it and cut it into squares, I didn't put the lid fully on because if it was trapped in the heat, the slice would melt. They ended up to be quite tasty.
