Rice Paper Rolls with Vietnamese dipping sauce
Today we made rice paper rolls with a Vietnamese dipping sauce, which were delicious. In this lesson, I had learnt a new knife skill, which was to brunoise some chilli. To brunoise the chilli, I had to cut it into small cubes. Once all the prep for the filling was done, we had to soak the rice paper wrappers in some warm water, and then place it on a board. We then placed the filling in and wrapped it. I already knew how to wrap these as I had made a similar food before. These smell amazing, and I can't wait to try them and share with mum and dad!

Enchiladas
In this lesson we made enchiladas. We split up into 2 sections, 1 did sauce and the other made the filling, once they were both done, we rolled up the enchiladas, poured the sauce over the top and sprinkled it with cheese. We put them I the oven, and once the cheese was melted, we took them out and ate it. They were really good! I can't wait to eat them for dinner.

Chicken Yakitori
In this lesson, we made chicken Yakitori, which is japanese chicken skewers. I cut up the chicken, while Kerys made the sauce. Once the sauce had thickened up, and I placesd the chicken and green onion on the skewers, we put them straight into the electric frypan, after coating them with the sauce. We wanted to give the chicken as much flavour as we could, so when they were cooking, we would add mroe sauce. When we had a taste of it, the extra sauce really helped. Making this was really nice to eat, especially for lunch.

Tangy Lemon Slice
In our hospitality lesson, we made tangy lemon slices. It was quite simple to make. We first had to mix ingredients together to make the base of the tart, and then we placed it in the oven. Once we took it out, we covered it with the syrup, and placed it under the oven again. When it was cooked we took it out to cool down. My partner and I tried a bit of the lemon slice, we thought it tasted a bit like apple pie. Once we put some icing sugar on it and cut it into squares, I didn't put the lid fully on because if it was trapped in the heat, the slice would melt. They ended up to be quite tasty.
