Baked Tortellini with vegetables
In this hospitality lesson, we made a baked tortellini with vegetables. The tortellini had a spinach and cheese filling. We first cut up all the ingredients, and placed them into the electric frypan. Once they were all soft and tender, we added the diced tomatoes and some seasoning. Once the tortellini was cooked, we drained it, at mixed it into their sauce. Once it was all combined, we sprinkled cheese over the pasta and put it in the oven, to let the cheese melt. When it was melted, we took it out and I ate it. It was really great, but I left it to eat for my mum and dad to eat for their dinner tonight. I hope that they enjoy it.

Chilli Con Carne
In this prac lesson, we made chilli con carne. In this lesson, I cooked with a different person because my usual partner was away. It was really good cooking with a new person. We chopped up all the ingredients and placed it in the electric frypan, and were really organised with the making of chilli con carne. Once all the ingredients were cooked, we crushed up the corn chips and sprinkled it over the meat mixture. We also left some cheese spare, to sprinkle over the top. We placed it in the oven to let the cheese melt a bit more. Once it was finished, I tried a bit and it was really delicious. I can't wait to eat the rest of it!!

Zucchini Slice
In this lesson, we made Zucchini Slice. We grated the zucchinis and onions in the food processor, and then mixed it with the other ingredients. We divided it up into the 2 tin boxes and put them into the oven. Once they were done, we took it out and I tried a bit. It tasted like a quiche, but without the base. It was really nice and light in your mouth and stomach. My mum and dad will love this zucchini slice.

Chocolate Mousse
In this lesson we were making the delicious dessert; chocolate mousse. The lesson before this, we were given a lesson on how to make the chocolate mousse. I was really wanting to get into this dessert, as I enjoy eating it. We had to be careful, not to overwhip the cream, and beat the eggs early, as the texture of the mousse were'relying' on these 2 components to be chilled right. When we finished our ones, I was really happy with the outcome. They look great! I can't wait to eat them.

Golden syrup dumplings
In this lesson we made golden syrup dumplings. I made the sauce, and my partner started to make the dumplings mixture. We had to wait for the butter to melt in the sauce before taking it off the heat, as we did t want the mixture to bubble. I sadly had to leave early for a music eistedford, so I didn't have the chance to taste the dumplings or see how they turned out. I am sure I will make this at home for myself and mum and dad.
Okonomiyaki
In this prac lesson, we made okonomiyaki, which is Japanese pancakes. Because there was space in the hospitality kitchen, my Japanese buddy came and helped us cook the pancakes. I grated the sweet potato, and the other cut up the other ingredients and made the mixture. Once that was done, we placed the pancakes in the electric frypan and waiting. Once they were done, my Japanese buddy showed us how to put the Japanese mayo and sauce on the pancakes. They look delicious!

Spaghetti Bolognese
In this Hospo lesson, we made Spaghetti Bolognese. This was the 2nd thing in our recepie book for the multicultural theme. We had a thicker type of fettucini, which was quite nice. I chopped up all the ingrediences finely, and added them in the fry pan with the mince and liquid. Once it was done, my partner and I ate it, and it was quite good, although my partner added too much oregano. I can't wait to eat it.

Anzac Slice
In this hospo lesson, we made ANZAC slice, a remake of the ANZAC biscuits. We had to make some extra mixture, as we had an extra person working with us. We made the mixture first, and put it in the saucepan. When they became cool, and were cut, I tried some, and they were very tasty. I can't wait to make some at home for mum and dad.

Breakfast prac assignment
For my breakfast assignment, I decided to cook my partner strawberry pancakes and a berry thickshake. I firstly concentrated on making the pancake batter and cooking them first, as I knew making the thickshake wouldn't take that long. I had to cut up a punnet of strawberries thinly to place in the batter. I got a 1/3 cup with the batter and poured it in. Once all the batter was gone, I made the smoothie and poured it into 2 glasses. I tried to garnish the pancakes with strawberries, and tried to make sure my presentation looked good. My partner and I both enjoyed eating the strawberry pancakes and berry thickshake.

Waffles
in this lesson, we made waffles. We first had to make the batter, and preheat the waffle machine. After it was ready to use, we poured in the waffle mixture. One of the group members got the time wrong, and we burnt our first batch of waffles. We tried a second time, and counded to 40, then lifted the lid, and the waffles were perfectly cooked. we continued this until the batter was gone. The waffles were delicious with whipped cream and maple syrup.

Chocolate easter egg crackles
Today, we made chocolate easter egg crackles. We first had to melt 3 mars bars, over simmering water, but we had to make sure that we were stirring the bowl constantly so it wouldn't stick and burn. Afgter that was done, we poured it over the rice bubbles and mixed it. We then placed easter eggs on top and placed the tray in the fridge to set. It was delicious!

Hedgehog slice :)
In this hospo lesson, we made hedgehog slices. When Kerys and I put it in the baking tray, there was a liquidy substance on the top. We were note sure what it was, but when the slice was cut up after it was in the fridge, it still tasted really good. I was really happy with the result of our hedgehog slice.
